Riposto Harbour


Coordinates: 37° 43’,98 N 15° 12’,73 E

Riposto is a seafaring town. Its harbour, located in a splendid bay, is very well equipped. There are also beautiful beaches with good swimming facilities. Worth visiting in Riposto are the "Chiesa Madre", the "Chiesetta della Lettera" and the Town Hall. The harbour comprises an embanked outer quay 780m in length and an embanked inner quay of 170m.

	Lighthouses and Beacons: 2774 (E 1822) – long white flashing beacon at 5-second intervals, range 17M, located on elbow of outer quay; 2776(E1823) – red flashing beacon at 3-second intervals, range 5M, on end of outer quay; 2777(E1824) – green flashing beacon at 3-second intervals, range 4M, on end of inner quay.

	Sea-bed: sandy and rocky.

	Soundings: 2 to 7 metres.

	Radio: VHF channel 16 - 14 Circomare Riposto.

	Maximum Length per Boat: 50m (only in transit).

	Warnings: max. speed 2 knots - anchorage and mooring prohibited in certain areas.

	Winds: Northerly, north-easterly.

	Lee: Easterly, sirocco and south.

	Nearest Safe Haven: Torre Archirafi

	Areas Reserved for Leisure Craft
	Leisure craft can moor at 2 floating jetties 50m in length with 100 berths, run by the Zappulla Company.
