Once again stars shine above "Le Ciminiere" cultaral centre in Viale Africa. The festival "The Ciminiere e le Stelle", organized by Catania Regianal Province and Provincial Tourist Office, and directed by the Catania singer-composer Vincenzo Spampinato, opens up in Catania.
During this 3rd edition the usual formula, that has gained a so great and immediate success to become a certain and desidered meeting of Catania summers, will be proposed to the public: music, dance and theatre throughout two months in a programme rich of great namens of international artistic world.
From 4th July to 29th August, all Saturdays and Sundays, the "Ciminiere" amphitheatre will give hospitality to the world most loved artists: Avion Travel, Samuele Bersani, Zuzzurro e Gaspare, Grazia Galante, Joe Zawinui, Giobbe Covatta, Pierangelo Bertoli, Paola Pitagora, La Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare, Arnoldo Foà, Paul Young and many other will enliven with their performances the summer evenings.
In the suggestive area of an old sulphur refinery, dating back to the 19th century, now completely restored and refurbished, the programme of "Ciminiere e le Stelle" links with rare balance classical and new suggestions, cabaret and drama, dance, classical music and opera.
