"Spazio Danza" was born in the end of the 80s as an appendix of the homonymous dancing school, with occasional performances mainly carried out in Summer. In these last 5 years, due to the always growing demand of shows, their activity has greatly imcreased. A Sicilian Company specialized in tradition and culture typical repertories, but of an international importance, they are able to link literature, music and dance with the mastery of those who have a global and complete vision of art. Indeed, the show of Sunday 16th August will be dedicated to Pirandello and Verga through the ballets "La Giara" and "Cavalleria Rusticana". The former, with Alfredo Casella's nusic, was played the first time in Paris in 1924 with Jean Borlin's choreography and Giorgio De Chirico's scenes and costumes. Of great importance the editions of the Scala of Milan and that of Palermo with Guttuso's scenes and costumes. More than the story it is the characters' feelings, passions and meetings leading to tragedy that are stressed. The music is from the homonymous opera by Mascagni. Choreographer and artistic director Salvo Di Mauro, maitre de ballet Stefan Furjan, choreography assistent Gabriele Palomaba, scenography by Marco Midulla, costumes Tedasart, playwright Turi Giordano. Among the artists Stefan Furjan, Jodi A, White, Salvo Di Mauro, Giuseppe Bonanno, Boris Bivona, Sabrina Cerrone.
