This is the house where the writer lived for the most part of his life. Inside this nineteenth-century building you can feel the suggestive atmosphere of Catania in the last century; passing through the rooms previously occupied by the family of Giovanni Verga: the hall, the drawing room, the library, two bedrooms, a parlour and the dining room linked to the kitchen on the upper floor thanks to the service lift. All the rooms have the original furniture, paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, books, dresses, etc. Everything reminds you of the writer and of his friends and relatives and of his daily life.
